You will stay in a magnificent 18th-century farmhouse. This picturesque farmhouse was built in 1837 as a show house at an estate. The national monument is completely free among forests and meadows. The residence is ideal for active nature lovers who want to experience the beautiful surroundings, you can spend days wandering the nearby estates and in the evening relax in the garden, or with a glass by the fireplace. People also love to escape the daily hustle and bustle here and unwind and find new inspiration. Sometimes there is the hustle and bustle of farmers working the fields or hikers on the wooden shoes paths, but at other times there is complete peace and quiet, interrupted at most by birds and the murmur of a waterfall in the nearby ravine. You will stay in your own private part of the farm, with living room, fully equipped kitchen and bedroom. Accommodation for 2 persons, more persons only by arrangement.
Nature and surroundings
Located at the intersection of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and Gelderse Vallei, the nature house is completely surrounded by old estates. It seems as if time has stood still in this area. You can wander around for days discovering many historical details. The farm directly borders a small canal. This water gives great opportunities for day-filling canoe trips through the area. Use of the canoe is included. A wooden shoe path runs across the farmyard. You can use an extensive network of hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. Besides themed walks you can of course also go out by yourself. From the farmyard you can explore the surroundings by bicycle. Several routes are in the immediate vicinity. There is an extensive network of mountain bike routes. These run on beautifully landscaped paths through the forest. In the immediate vicinity you will find a beautiful recreational lake, the Pyramid of Austerlitz and the Grebbelinie.
