In the former cheese dairy at Huize Blokland you will find Het Pekelhuis: a cozy and attractive cottage in the middle of the West Frisian landscape. Enjoy the view of the fruit orchard and farm life with sheep, chickens, a cuddly cow and friendly cats. Here your children can play to their heart's content and parents can relax. The cottage offers space for up to 6 people. With 4 people you have a lot of space, with 6 it is a bit more cozy and a bit cramped. There are two bedrooms each with a double bed (one ground floor, one on the mezzanine) and a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom has a rain shower, and there is underfloor heating throughout the cottage. The garden doors open onto an east-facing terrace, perfect for the morning sun. At 5km from the IJsselmeer for water fun and beautiful walks and 10km from Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik for culture & history, good food & drinks and nice stores. Pets welcome (€10 p.d. per animal).

In our yard you can cuddle with the animals to your heart's content, pick fresh fruit from the century-old fruit trees in season, help in the vegetable garden. Children can play with go-karts, pedal tractors, on the trampoline, in the sandbox or the mud kitchen. Hem is a small cute village on the edge of the IJsselmeer. Our farm is located just outside the village surrounded by meadows and about 5km from the IJsselmeer and the dike. Here you can swim in several places in the summer and make beautiful walking and cycling tours throughout the year. The cozy harbor towns Hoorn, Medemblik and Enkhuizen are both 10km away. Here you can eat, drink and store. Furthermore, there are nice museums and cultural activities.Want to visit the rest of North Holland?
