The house is a beautiful vacation home, built in the former Cap Barn. This vacation home offers you an excellent opportunity to enjoy peace and quiet all year round. Both in the house, and in the private garden with terrace, it is good to stay for 4-6 people. You sleep under the thatched roof, between the two hundred year old trusses. Downstairs you have a view of the goats through the windows. From your private terrace you can enjoy the Drenthe yard while enjoying a drink. The house can accommodate 6 people. For the children there is a wonderful playground where they can have a good time. There is also a sunbathing lawn on the premises where you can enjoy the sun and possibly play volleyball. The vacation home is situated on a vacation park with its own vineyard. In season there is a vineyard tour with tasting every Saturday where you can participate. And if the winemaker is busy in the vineyard you may quietly help.
Nature and surroundings
The Holiday Park is located near beautiful nature parks such as the dwingelderveld, the weerribben and the hondsrug where you can walk and cycle to your heart's content. For the children there is within walking distance "the Drenthe Cow". Here the children can enjoy themselves to their hearts content. There is also a gnome trail nearby and the nature reserves have adapted hiking trails for families. Beautiful villages and towns like Havelte, Frederiksoord, Meppel, de Wijk and Staphorst with their beautiful traditional costumes provide many nice relaxing trips. Also, in Staphorst there is an annual hot air balloon festival, in Meppel the Thursday Meppel Days, In the village an Oldtimer Day, Foodtruck Festival and more.
