Looking for beautiful fields of tulips within walking distance and want to unwind? Book our cozy, comfortable, and spacious nature house. The whole place has a relaxed atmosphere. It has all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay, including Wi-Fi, a wood stove, a large flat-screen TV, DVDs, and a comfortable sofa and chairs that invite you to unwind. There’s a spacious kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms, with the cottage covering a total area of 80 m². Of course, a microwave and Senseo coffee maker are included. You can always sit in the sun, but you can also enjoy the shade thanks to a large oak tree and the covered porch attached to the house. Under the sheltered porch, you’ll find a comfortable wooden bench, among other things, and you can look out over the pond. The following birds, among others, regularly visit: herons, our local blackbirds with white spots, nuthatches, spotted woodpeckers, and buzzards. You can walk to your parking spot via your own entrance and then enjoy the scenery and nature and/or sit down on the bench—a favorite spot to relax.

The nature house is located along a well-known hiking trail. In front of us lies 10 hectares of grassland, where roe deer are often spotted. About 600 meters from the cottage, the bulb fields (about 8 hectares) begin, featuring a wide variety of tulips. Part of the tulip fields lies along the path leading to our house. Roe deer frequently cross this field on their way to the forest, which is home to badger setts. From the cottage, you can take many beautiful walks through the richly varied Reestdal valley. The trails lead you past centuries-old farms—where you sometimes walk right through the farmer’s yard—and hamlets and grasslands. Within walking distance, you’ll also find the old church of Oud Avereest, with its unique historic cemetery, Bartje’s little bridge, the old church path, and the Landschap Overijssel information center. On Wednesdays, there’s a market in Staphorst, where you might run into people in traditional costume. You can rent an e-chopper from us and use it to take beautiful trips to places like the Staphorster Bos, the Havixhorst with its stunning sculpture garden, or….
