This farm and water mill in Mesch in the Dutch province of Limburg. The mill was one of six water mills on Dutch land using the water of the small river Voer. The mill is part of a large Limburg farmstead. Between 1996 and 1998 the mill was completely restored and the former stables and haylofts were suitably converted into vacation apartments. Apartment No. 12 is small and cozy with lots of light. Kitchen with dining table, sitting area and stairs to the 1st floor. On the 1st floor is the bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Bedroom I with single bed, closet and view of the courtyard. Because of the light and high ceiling, the room is spacious. Stairs to the 2nd floor where Bedroom II is located with a double bed, closet and dressing table. Incl. made beds and 1x towel per person per stay and 1x tea towel and kitchen towel.
Nature and surroundings
We have many animals such as chickens, roosters, horses, donkeys, cats and dogs and they generally roam freely on our farm. The mill is located 10km from the historic center of Maastricht with many stores, museums, restaurants, cafes and entertainment venues. The center of Mesch is at 600m and Eijsden at about 2.5km. In a radius of 3km there are several restaurants, stores and supermarkets. The nearest airport is Maastricht Aachen Airport at 18km.From the mill there are many beautiful hiking and touring routes, because the mill is located directly in the Savelsbos (10 minutes walk), 10 minutes drive from the Voer region and 40 minutes drive from the Ardennes. Via the Mergellandroute you can explore the Limburg Hill Country by car or bicycle.

Leonie May 30, 2025 General rating:Nice place, but the attic in our apartment, #12, was really hot, so we did not sleep well. The window open and the fan on did not help much. It looked like there was a heater on somewhere, but we couldn't find it.
Leuke plek, maar de zolder in ons appartement, nr 12, was echt heel warm, waardoor we niet goed geslapen hebben. Het raam open en de ventilator aan, hielp weinig. Het leek wel of ergens een verwarming aan stond, maar die konden wij niet vinden.
Nature, peace & environment:It was a beautiful setting, nice place, cozy. There were a lot of roosters on the property though, which was very intense in terms of noise at times.
