This farm and water mill is located in Mesch in the Dutch province of Limburg. The mill was one of six water mills on Dutch land using the waters of the small river Voer. The mill is part of a large Limburg farmstead. Between 1996 and 1998 the mill was completely restored and the former stables and haylofts were suitably converted into vacation apartments. Apartment No. 5 has entry into the spacious authentic hall with access to the bathroom with sink, shower and toilet. We have many animals such as chickens, roosters, horses, donkeys, cats and dogs and they generally roam freely on our farm. The mill is located 10km from the historic center of Maastricht with many stores, museums, restaurants, cafes and entertainment venues. The center of Mesch is at 600m and Eijsden at about 2.5km. In a radius of 3km there are several restaurants, stores and supermarkets. The nearest airport is Maastricht Aachen Airport at 18km. From the mill there are many beautiful hiking and touring routes, because the mill is located directly in the Savelsbos (10 minutes walk), 10 minutes drive from the Voer region and 40 minutes drive from the Ardennes. Wat fijn, die rust, stilte. En kippen die een voor een achter elkaar over het hof lopen. Zo leuk om mee wakker te worden.
Nature, peace & environment:Lovely cottage with basic facilities. Beware of the shower though. You better hold the cup. Otherwise you are mopping the whole bathroom.
Heerlijk huisje met basis faciliteiten. Pas wel op voor de douche. Je kunt de kop beter vasthouden. Anders sta je de hele badkamer te dweilen.

Esther August 5, 2024 General rating:The building is beautiful but the facilities are not. messy on the grounds, much broken in apartment ( toilet pot is loose, sink leaking), furnishings are dated and messy. We love animals very much but the amount of chickens on the property is excessive. There is poop everywhere and food for the chickens.Reception was not warm or welcoming. Apartment was not clean on time but owner did not offer much in return. Upon feedback about broken toilet bowl and sink, owner seemed unimpressed.A shame, because the location is beautiful but it now gives the impression that the owner has not put things in order.....this location requires more attention and maintenance.
Het gebouw is prachtig maar de faciliteiten niet. rommelig op het terrein, veel kapot in appartement ( wc pot staat los, wastafel lekt), inrichting is gedateerd en rommelig. We houden heel erg van dieren maar de hoeveelheid kippen op het terrein is buitensporig. Overal ligt poep en voer voor de kippen.
Ontvangst was niet warm of gastvrij. Appartement was niet op tijd schoon, maar eigenaresse stelde daar weinig tegen over. Bij feedback over kapotte wc pot en wastafel leek eigenaresse weinig onder de indruk.
Zonde, want de locatie is prachtig maar het wekt nu de indruk dat de eigenaresse de boel niet op orde heeft.....deze locatie vraagt om meer aandacht en onderhoud.Nature, peace & environment:The surroundings and the building are beautiful.
