Nature and surroundings

The nature house is within walking distance of the Cartierheide. Here you’ll find not only panoramic views and a sense of freedom; when the sun rises or dusk falls and you’re very quiet, the deer will make an appearance. At the Pannegoor, you can look out over the water and its inhabitants. August has its own beauty—it’s the month to visit for the blooming heather. The Kempen region lies on the border with Belgium. From here, you can explore the area via the network of trail junctions; fantastic routes have been mapped out throughout the region for hikers, cyclists, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and carriage drivers alike. Through these route networks, you can discover the delights of the Kempen. Villages such as Eersel, with its historic market, as well as Bladel—the premier shopping destination in the Kempen—are just around the corner. Of course, you can also briefly cross the border into Belgium to visit Postel Abbey. It’s centrally located in Brabant between Eindhoven, Tilburg, and Turnhout, Belgium.
