This very cozy and very spacious 104m2 nature house is located in the middle of the Drents-Friese Wold. It is wonderfully light and furnished with modern furniture. You can actively go out, but also relax reading a book, listening to music or just enjoy the silence. While the wood stove provides a cozy atmosphere. Downstairs in the living room, thanks to the great glass facade you can see from the house the birds and if it is quiet also deer or squirrels in the garden. At dusk the badgers sometimes appear . The open kitchen was completely renovated in 2020 and equipped with all modern kitchen appliances. This also applies to the bathroom with spacious shower, sink and toilet. Upstairs is a spacious loft with TV corner. On this OPEN loft is also an additional double sofa bed. Furthermore, there are 2 bedrooms each with a double bed and 1 bedroom with a single bed. There is free wifi available. There is 1 dog welcome, more in consultation. There are 2 bicycles you can use.
Nature and surroundings
Through the sliding door you step right onto the (hopefully) sunny terrace surrounded by a sheltered grass garden surrounded by lush shrubs and trees. Walking down the yard you are within 5 minutes in the woods and on a meadow where Scottish Highlanders graze. Walking further you come to the vast Doldersumse heath (300 meters as the crow flies), which blooms a beautiful purple in August and is populated by buzzing bees. Drentse heath sheep walk there and rabbits happily hop around. From above you can see this from the high lookout tower at the edge of the heathland. The Drents-Friese Wold also has dozens of cozy bike paths. You can swim in the Aekingermeer lake 3 km away, while the dog can be walked in the adjacent splash pond. Those interested in history can visit the "proefkolonie" museum in Frederiksoord. In the area a large social experiment was carried out after which the musical (and the book) "The pauper paradise" was made.
