Nature house in Schipluiden

The house dates from 1651. It was originally a town hall, located on a canal, where marriages were celebrated, births were registered and where the sheriff and aldermen administered justice for minor offenses in the Zouteveen neighborhood. It also served as an inn where people could sleep and have a drink. 100 years later a cowshed and pigsty were added and it became a farm where people farmed until 1960. In 2010 this national monument was restored and converted into a guesthouse/B&B. Four guest rooms, each with its own luxurious bathroom, were realized. The core is formed by the cozy kitchen, in which all facilities (stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, quooker) are present and the adjacent living room with upstairs room, where cozy dining or games can be done. Upon arrival, the beds are made and bath towels and kitchen linen are provided.

The nature house is in the middle of a green peat meadow area with nice villages like Schipluiden, Maasland and t Woudt nearby, where there are also nice restaurants, local stores and small museums. On the horizon are cities like The Hague, Rotterdam, Delft, Vlaardingen and Maassluis, so if you want to spend a day shopping, or go to the cinema, that too is possible. Rather explore the green heart of Midden-Delfland? This can be done very easily by bike or on foot. The green surroundings include authentic farms, protected village scenes and beautiful polders. This is not only very special in summer, but also in winter and autumn. Each season has its own beauty. Would you like to get a breath of fresh air at the beach? That too is easily possible and about 22 km from home.
