Nature house in Amsterdam

It is a nice little house but the cottage deserves some love in the form of a lick of paint on the walls, paint on the window frames and doorposts, a window washer, a carpenter for the hole in the window frame, a handyman for a new front door, a new coffee maker, vinegar for the kettle and perhaps a new wider shower stall. The cabin closes with 2 doors but the space left to get in may be just too tight for slightly creamy, soft people. The temperature of the shower is lovely though! Oh yes, and please more teaspoons. We can get by with 1 spoonful, but still... The refrigerator door makes a weird noise when opening, but again the fridge does a super job. Wifi is good, but there is no TV, so a laptop or tablet would come in handy. Otherwise, the cottage is tastefully decorated. Well, and the garden is a bit messy, as a previous review said, but you don't notice that once you are in the cottage.

Het is een aardig huisje maar het huisje verdient wat liefde in de vorm van een likje verf op de muren, verf op de kozijnen van de puien en deurposten, een glazenwasser, een timmerman voor het gat in het kozijn van de pui, een handyman voor een nieuwe voordeur, een nieuw koffiezetapparaat, azijn voor de waterkoker en wellicht een nieuwe bredere douchecabine. De cabine sluit met 2 deuren maar de ruimte die erover blijft om in te stappen is voor iets romige, zachte mensen wellicht net te krap. De temperatuur van de douche is wel weer heerlijk!
Ohja, en graag meer theelepeltjes. Met 1 lepeltje redden we het wel, maar toch...
De koelkastdeur maakt bij het openen een raar geluid, maar de koelkast doet wel weer super zijn werk. Wifi is goed, maar er is geen tv aanwezig, dus een laptop of tablet is handig. Verder is het huisje sfeervol ingericht.

Tja, en de tuin is wat rommelig, zoals een eerdere recensie al zei, maar daar merk je niets meer van als je eenmaal in het huisje bent.

The peace and nature near the cottage was wonderful. Despite being very close to Amsterdam you still experience a tranquility through the nature reserve with lots of birds just behind the cottage. You look out there and there is plenty to see. The host people were very nice and made us feel welcome.

De rust en de natuur bij het huisje was heerlijk. Ondanks dat je heel dicht bij Amsterdam bent ervaar je toch een rust door het natuurgebied met veel vogels net achter het huisje. Je kijkt daar op uit en er is genoeg te zien.
De gastmensen waren erg aardig en heetten ons welkom.

Beautiful view of grassland with ducks,hares, meadow birds and fish in the ditch.

Prachtig uitzicht op grasland met eenden ,hazen, weidevogels en in de sloot vissen.

It was an all-round satisfying stay. The cottage and facilities correspond to the pictures and description and everything is there that you need for a few relaxing, unhurried days.
Very friendly landlord.

Es war ein Rundum zufriedenstellender Aufenthalt. Hütte und Ausstattung entsprechen den Bildern und Beschreibung und es ist alles da was man für ein paar entspannte entschleunigte Tage braucht.
Sehr freundlicher Vermieter.

The terrace borders directly on pastureland separated only by the drainage ditch...ducks and swans in the foreground, sheep with their lambs in the background, a rural idyll in a picturesque old fishing village...dreamlike.

Die Terrasse grenzt unmittelbar an Weideland nur getrennt durch den Entwässerrungsgraben...Enten und Schwäne im Vordergrund, Schaafe mit ihren Lämmern im Hintergrund, ein ländliches Idyll in einem malerischen alten Fischerdorf...Traumhaft.
