Stay in a cozy cottage at an affordable price. To catch your breath for a few days or a longer vacation. You will stay in the restored milk house of a 19th century farmhouse. The nature house (40m² ground surface) is located under the large walnut tree that adorns the vast garden. The cottage has all the basic comforts with an equipped kitchen with dishwasher, bathroom with walk-in shower, separate toilet, internet and television. There is a mezzanine with 2 single beds and downstairs there is a sofa bed for 2 people. The cottage is a licensed lodging that meets the Belgian classification of 3 stars. The private sauna and jacuzzi can both be booked for 45 euros and 35 euros respectively per turn or 75 euros together (choose luxury check-in wellness). If you wish to use the sauna or jacuzzi more than once, you can pay extra on the spot. During the weekend you can also book and have breakfast in our breakfast room (20 euro/pers/day).
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located at the Kalkense Meersen, a vast nature reserve that is part of national park Scheldevallei. With a thousand hectares of contiguous low-lying meadows, ploughed with ditches and pools in an old meander of the Scheldt, the Kalkense Meersen form a special breeding and wintering place for many meadow birds. Discover the peace and beauty of this nature through the numerous hiking and cycling routes. There are numerous mapped out walking and cycling routes in the vacation home. You can also cycle along the Scheldt river to Ghent (about 17km). The cottage is located in the triangle Ghent-Antwerp-Brussels, so trips to these cities are also easy to perform. The cottage has a private terrace and communal garden. Children can play in the garden on the swing and slide (trampoline is no longer there).
