Built in 1941, this nature house is the only stone house on the islands in the Loosdrecht lakes. In 2020, the house was completely renovated for the first time, so the atmosphere and character are now combined with modern conveniences. In the living room you look out onto the water all around. A few nice sofas, books and games do the rest. The kitchen is small but complete for cooking enthusiasts. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, all with sink. Two with a double bed, 1 with a bunk bed. There is also a bathroom with second toilet, rain shower, sink and washer/dryer combination. Around the house is a lovely veranda. With your electric heated cushions you can sit here early in the day with a cup of coffee and a book. If you're lucky it rains, leaving no one cruising by, and the rustling of the water and wind as your only company. If it's (too) hot you jump into the private bay, or cool off under the outdoor shower.
Nature and surroundings
In a harbor in Breukelen you step into our sturdy boat (use included, fuel nacculated). Ten minutes of sailing through a unique nature reserve and you are on the island. Outside summer a unique place with peace, birds, enjoy the rain under the porch. In summer and spring weekends a place full of water sports and fun, with great swimming water. When you're there, you hardly realize that less than fifty meters away, behind the trees, you sail straight into the Loosdrechtse Plassen. The Loosdrechtse Plassen are the center of an area designated as a special protection zone for birds, plants and other animals. Bring your binoculars, watch the rippling water and nature and enjoy. The island itself is 800 m2. There are several places to lie or sit, hanging chairs and hammocks. From the jetty you can jump right into the piece of private - water in the bay behind the house. There are also 3 supboards, and 3 2-person canoes, wetsuits and water shoes.
