In 2010 we bought this dream spot. Wonderfully quiet, nice former farmhouse, nice spacious garden. We did a lot of renovations to get the inside of our farmhouse back into the old farm atmosphere. Then came the plan to make an apartment in the huge garage. With the same rural farm style but with the luxury you would expect. Purpose: Recreational rental and our guests appreciate Koeterdekoet very much. For guests a private parking space, a private entrance and path to the front door. Living room is 24m2 and the hall is also equipped with a toilet. Nowadays also with CD and record player! Bring your own CD/LP's. Upstairs are the 2 bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, floor heating and 2nd toilet. Bed linen, Bath towels, tea and towels, it's all there. There is a spacious terrace with firepit / BBQ behind and an additional terrace on the west where you evening eg while enjoying a glass of wine, view of grazing cows, watching the sun go down.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house is wonderfully quietly located about 1 km from the West Frisian village of Oterleek, The place is a piece of cultural historical area. Koeterdekoet is such a lovely little cottage! Tastefully decorated, meticulously maintained, and equipped with every comfort. A comfortable bed, a wonderful shower, and a beautiful view of the meadows, where the cows graze contentedly and the birds chirp merrily. But then again, who wouldn’t be happy here?
The surrounding area is fantastic, too. It’s wonderful for biking and hiking, with charming little towns, the sea, the dunes… In short, there’s so much to do here.
We’re true Anglophiles, but West Friesland is certainly no slouch. We were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful nature and the charming, well-maintained towns and villages.
Thank you so much for the warm welcome, complete with flowers, treats, and even a bottle of wine.

Ook de omgeving is fantastisch. Heerlijk om te fietsen en te wandelen, met leuke stadjes, de zee, de duinen... Kortom, er is hier ontzettend veel te beleven.
Wij zijn echte Anglofielen, maar West-Friesland hoeft zeker niet onder te doen. We zijn heel aangenaam verrast door de prachtige natuur en de mooie, uitstekend verzorgde stadjes en dorpen.
Heel hartelijk bedankt ook voor de warme ontvangst, met bloemen, lekkers en zelfs een flesje wijn.
