Enjoy everything this B&B has to offer with breakfast on the terrace or by the wood stove. The cottage is located below the “Stella Polaris” windmill and next to a pond where you can hear the frogs croaking in season. The terrace is furnished with outdoor furniture, where you can relax in the sun or shade after a walk. With its large, knotty beams and the wood stove lit in winter, the cottage exudes the atmosphere of days gone by, yet offers the luxury of a mini-fridge, a tea kettle, and a Nespresso machine, as well as a private entrance, shower, and toilet. There’s also a corner (sleeper) sofa, a dining table, and two armchairs so you can enjoy reading and relaxing even when the weather isn’t ideal. You can dine out at the many restaurants in the area. Glasses, plates, and cutlery are also provided so you can enjoy a takeout meal in the comfort of your own home. There’s a storage room for your bicycles. Be sure to check out our cottage 52158 as well.

Nature and surroundings

What never ceases to amaze us is how quiet it is here. Dieden is a ribbon village along the Meuse River. It lies between Den Bosch (37 km) and Nijmegen (24 km), 5 km from the A50. As soon as you leave the A50 and drive over the dike, you’ll discover the beauty of this relatively unknown river region. From the cottage, you can step right onto the dike and take a leisurely stroll along the Meuse in the morning before breakfast to watch the sun rise. The meandering dike is also a beautiful place to cycle. Nearby are Keent, De Maashorst, and towns such as Ravenstein, Megen, and Grave. Starting in the spring, foot ferries run to Gelderland. You can rent bicycles from us. After a day full of new discoveries, you can relax in the garden chairs on the patio or in the garden. Our fenced-in garden is an oasis of tranquility, filled with flowers in every season. You’re more than welcome to book this cottage for two people (small dogs are welcome only by prior arrangement). Our two Cocker Spaniels also love having visitors! We look forward to welcoming you.

As the only point of improvement, I would suggest putting screens on the windows and possibly the door. By the bed it can be a bit hot and stuffy on hot days, but opening the windows at night is not really an option i.v.m. mosquitoes. There is a solid fan that helps well against the stuffiness (and mosquitoes).

Very nice cottage with a host and hostess who make sure you lack nothing! At breakfast your wishes are taken into account. Beautiful garden and sweet dogs. You hear all kinds of birds and after a heavy rain even once a toad came walking in! Also very convenient that we could rent bikes at the cottage.

Lovely large and green garden and beautiful surroundings where you can not get enough of walking because of all the beauty to discover.

Do you like character, the "smell" of old stories and a carefully prepared breakfast with homemade products? Then this is a great place. Stayed for three days for writing my book. The beautiful surroundings and the very hospitable and friendly owners made a great contribution to that!

What does “Fireworks-free” mean?
The host indicates that the area is firework-free. Firework-free means that no firework bangs can be heard in and around the accommodation. You might occasionally hear some noise or see some light from fireworks set off outside the immediate area. It is important that you agree with the landlord on what you can expect.
Selection of activities
After each stay, we invite our guests to rate the nature house, the surroundings, and specific activities. An activity is only shown at a nature house if it meets two conditions: at least 20 unique reviews have been given, and at least 60% of guests gave a score of ‘amazing’ (3/4) or ‘wow’ (4/4).
