Nature house in Schipluiden

A former pumping station (municipal monument) was transformed into a unique vacation home in 2016. It is located on the Vlaardingsevaart, separated by a walking/cycling path. The nature house is located in the middle of the Zouteveen polder between beautiful towns and villages. The former pump is part of the industrial, modern interior. With up to four people you can stay here and enjoy water and meadow birds and fantastic sunrises, or sunsets. The Pump House has an open kitchen with all facilities (induction hob, combi microwave, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, quooker and a Nespresso coffee machine). The ground floor has underfloor heating and a cozy pellet stove. At the front is a sunny terrace. There are canoes, which are available to guests free of charge and there is the possibility of renting an electric sloop to explore the watery area. Bed linen, bath towels and kitchen linen are provided.

The nature house is in the middle of a green peat meadow area with nice villages like Schipluiden, Maasland and t Woudt nearby, where there are also nice restaurants, local stores and small museums. On the horizon are cities like The Hague, Rotterdam, Delft, Vlaardingen and Maassluis, so if you want to spend a day shopping, or go to the cinema, that too is possible. Rather explore the green heart of Midden-Delfland? This can be done very easily by bike or on foot. The green surroundings include authentic farms, protected village scenes and beautiful polders. This is not only very special in summer, but also in winter and autumn. Each season has its own beauty. Would you like to get a breath of fresh air at the beach? That is also possible and about 22 km from the Pump House.
