On a particularly beautiful location in the historic part of the village of Norg stands the nature house, a Saxon farm from 1762, with the luxury, hospitality and living comfort that we know today. The nature house has on the ground floor a large and cozy double apartment (70 m2) with living room and wood stove & authentic fireplace, wall tiles from the year 1600, kitchen and views over the beautiful garden. The bedroom has a double bed and the bathroom has a shower and toilet. In addition, the accommodation also has TV, radio, free Wifi, bed linen, bathrobes, towels and free coffee & tea. You may also use the garden (2500 m2) and the sauna (surcharge of € 35 per time based on 2 people for 3 hours). Due to the setting and furnishing, our nature house is not suitable for children under the age of 18. N.B. The swimming pool is no longer accessible to our guests as of January 1, 2026.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is just 100 meters from the center of Norg (Drenthe), where there are several restaurants, terraces and stores. All around are numerous other historic farms and brinks with old oaks. The nature house is adjacent to the sandy path to the ash (=akker). The nature reserves around Norg are very varied (including Drents Friesewold, Mensinghe Estate, Noordsche Veld, Drentsche Aa, Fochteloërveen, Langeloërduinen, De Onlanden). The many bicycle and walking tours lead through forests, across moors, through beautiful bog villages and past sand drifts, sheep herds and prehistoric dolmens. Within a radius of 25 km is the city of Groningen with several museums. The beautiful city center has many stores and restaurants. The Drenthe capital of Assen, which includes the Drenthe Museum, is also nearby. Golf course Holthuizen in Roden is 8 km away (9 holes). The Drentse Golf & Country Club in Assen is 10 km away (27 holes).
