From this cottage in Blitterswijck you can enjoy the surroundings to the maximum. You can park in front of the house. The cottage itself is equipped with all basic amenities. This allows you to relax after a brisk walk or bike ride through the varied surroundings. In fine weather, the garden doors can be opened and the terrace (facing south) also offers a wonderful place to relax. For guests who have difficulty walking: downstairs is a 2 p. bedroom with a bathroom. Wanssum (3km) has a large supermarket and a bakery. To reach the cottage you must first park your car at the reception of the park. Then it is a 200 meter walk to cottage No. 10. Next to the front door you will find a lockbox containing the keys to the cottage and the barrier pass. Because there is no central park management, this can sometimes cause a nuisance. However, the cottage is located in a quiet spot on the outer edge of the park.
Nature and surroundings
Within 10 minutes driving distance you are at Landgoed de Hamert which is part of National Park the Maasduinen. This spacious varied forest, interspersed with river dunes, moors and fens has many hiking and cycling trails. There is much more natural beauty to admire in the immediate vicinity. It is the perfect base for those who enjoy fine walking and cycling. Blitterswijck and the surrounding Maas villages offer many facilities for everyone. Nice restaurants overlooking the Meuse can also be found in the immediate vicinity. At the end of 2020, the flood protection project Mooder-Maas was completed and the immediate area was given a nature park appearance with 540 ha of new nature. Besides nature, there is a golf club in Geijsteren, the Termaalbad in Arcen, the war museum and ZooParc in Overloon. And of course many beautiful villages such as Geijsteren, Well and Arcen. Close to the border is the pilgrimage Kevelaer (20km) and in Weeze a large outdoor swimming pool.
