This nature house in central Sweden is quite special. A typical Swedish stuga, where Swedes used to often spend their summers. The cottage is completely self-sufficient, 12v power is (limited) available through solar panels and water is stored in a large rain barrel, and in a well. Showers can be taken with a rain shower, or a nice fresh (actually extremely cold) dip in the lake ;). The toilet is about 20 meters from the house, in the garden. The "garden" is almost 19000 m2 and consists mainly of pretty untouched nature. There are no fences, not much at all in Sweden. Game tracks of moose, foxes, among others, can be found all around the cottage. The brown bear also lives in this area, and occasionally snaps some berries from the path at the bottom of the mountain. You come here to wander, looking for nothing. Listening to the fine sounds of silence, unbelievable how much you hear! You don't have to do anything, and everything is allowed.
Nature and surroundings
There is a beautiful Swedish lake about 400 meters away where you can swim, fish, and you can also just drink the water unfiltered. On your hikes you will rarely meet anyone, except maybe a sweet jumping squirrel, or a big punk woodpecker that is tapping a tree like a madman. Along the way, you'll eat delicious blueberries and pick fresh raspberries! Civilization is about a 40-minute drive on mostly dirt roads. In the nearest village, Nås, you can do your shopping at the local supermarket (gas station/ store for everything...) By the way, a car with low road clearance has no chance of reaching this cottage. This place is quiet, natural, friendly and yet also wild. There are a number of such cottages in this area, where time seems to have stood still. Something that, by the way, seems to be true when you are here. Delightful!
