Nature and surroundings
You can explore National Park De Biesbosch in a variety of ways. There are several hiking or biking tours. The ferry at Lage Zwaluwe takes you across to the Biesbosch. From Drimmelen you can take a tour boat, canoe or a rented boat into the Biesbosch. There is a varied selection. Hiking on this side with Biesbosch experience can be found in nature reserve de Worp or around the Gat van de Ham. At the Biesbosch Museum in Werkendam you will learn about the history of the Biesbosch, among other things. If you'd like to stay on the mainland, there are plenty of cycling, hiking and mountain biking routes nearby. Which will take you to mills, water, the Beverpad overlooking the polders and the Biesbosch, the singing bike path, picturesque villages and historic cities. There is even a lucky bike route! Stage 16 of the Maaspad.nl runs through Drimmelen. On the sites Visit Brabant and route.nl there are several walking and cycling routes.
