Nature house in Gilze

It’s such a pleasure to enjoy the open space and nature here! From the small terrace in front of the house, you feel as if you’re immersed in the beautiful surroundings, which were landscaped by the extremely friendly owners. You’ll hardly hear any sounds other than those produced by nature. In the background, you can hear the frogs croaking from the frog pond, located about 40 meters from the cottage, and the variety of birds chirping. The view is endless, with grasslands surrounded by trees, allowing us to enjoy a truly beautiful sunset.
The cottage is fully equipped, with an outdoor dining table, an indoor dining table, and a kitchen with everything you need to cook well.
Everything looked very neat and clean, was in excellent condition, and the beds were very comfortable! We stayed here in the summer, but also on a rainy day in the winter; I think I could easily enjoy myself here with the wood stove and the cozy atmosphere of the cottage. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. We’d love to come back.

Wat is het hier genieten van de ruimte en de natuur! Vanaf het terrasje voor het huis waan je je in de prachtige omgeving, welke is aangelegd door de uiterst vriendelijke eigenaren. Andere geluiden dan hetgeen wat de natuur produceert hoor je vrijwel niet. Op de achtergrond hoor je de kikkers kwaken uit de kikkerpoel die op een afstand van ongeveer 40 meter van het huisje ligt, en de verscheidenheid aan vogels fluiten. Het uitzicht is eindeloos, met grasland omringd door bomen, waardoor we van een hele mooie zonsondergang konden genieten.
Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien, buiten eettafel, binnen eettafel, een keuken met alles om goed te kunnen koken.
Alles zag er zeer netjes en schoon uit, verkeerde in uitstekende staat en ook de bedden sliepen erg lekker! Wij zaten hier in de zomer, maar ook in de winter op een regenachtige dag, denk ik dat ik mezelf hier goed kan vermaken met de houtkachel en de sfeer in het huisje. Mijn vriendin en ik hebben genoten. We komen graag terug.

The surroundings are also beautiful. There are forests and a lovely recreational lake (’t Zand) where you can enjoy a swim or relax on the beach with a book. The forests are vast. If you’d like, you can bike or hike through the Chaam forests to Breda.
From the cottage, you have a beautiful view. The property, which used to be a farm with many barns, has been transformed into a lovely 1.5-hectare nature area.
So walking, biking, reading, painting, and simply gazing out at the outdoors are all perfectly possible here.
By the way, there are some nice little restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

De omgeving is ook prachtig. Bossen en een heerlijke recreatieplas (’t Zand) waar je fijn kan zwemmen of op het strand een boek liggen lezen. De bossen zijn uitgestrekt. Als je wil kan je fietsend of wandelend door de Chaamse bossen naar Breda.
Vanuit het huisje heb je een prachtig uitzicht. Het terrein, dat vroeger een boerderij was met heel veel stallen is omgetoverd tot heel fraai natuurgebiedje van 1,5 hectare.
Dus wandelen, fietsen, lezen, schilderen en naar buiten staren is hier zonder meer goed te doen.
Overigens zijn er leuke restaurantjes in de directe nabijheid.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by both the hostess and the host.
During our stay, we went on many walks and bike rides. At dusk, we enjoyed the impressive chorus of frogs—a special experience that perfectly suits this place.

Bij aankomst werden we vriendelijk welkom geheten door zowel de gastvrouw als de gastheer.
Tijdens ons verblijf hebben we veel gewandeld en gefietst. Rond de schemering genoten we van het indrukwekkende kikkerconcert, een bijzondere ervaring die perfect past bij deze plek.

We were there at the end of June. Count on burning yourself out of the cottage then because of the heat. There are no curtains, so getting out of bed at 05:15 in the morning is part of the deal. There are eye masks, but they are tight around your head and made of cheap plastic. We were there with our 1.5 year old son and he also had a hard time falling asleep. So you put your child in the bathroom, which smells musty so it is not very pleasant. I would not recommend this cottage in the summer and would highly recommend that the landlords install curtains throughout the property! We left anything but rested. Response from landlord: Dear, full of amazement we read your review. Indeed, at the check-out you expressed that you were thickly satisfied with your stay. When we asked if you had any tips, you indicated that it was light despite the curtains present. "But", you said, "with a child of 1.5 years old, you are used to it". We will take your tip to heart.

Wij zaten er eind juni. Reken er maar op dat je dan wegbrand uit het huisje vanwege de hitte. Er hangen geen gordijnen, dus om 05:15 ‘s ochtends je bed uit hoort er dan bij. Er liggen wel oogmaskers, maar die zitten strak om je hoofd en zijn van goedkoop plastic. We waren er met ons zoontje van 1,5 jaar oud en die kwam door de omstandigheden ook moeilijk in slaap. Je legt je kind dus in de badkamer, wat muffig ruikt dus heel prettig is dat niet. Ik zou dit huisje niet aanraden in de zomer en zou de verhuurders sterk aanbevelen gordijnen in het gehele pand te installeren! We gingen allesbehalve uitgerust weg.

Beste, vol verwondering lezen wij jullie review. Bij het uitchecken sprak jij namelijk uit dat jullie dik tevreden waren over jullie verblijf.
Op onze vraag of jullie nog tips hadden, gaf je aan dat het ondanks de aanwezige gordijnen wel licht was. “Maar”, zei je, “met een kindje van 1,5 ben je wel wat gewend”. Jullie tip nemen wij ter harte.
