This nature house in Slenaken (South Limburg) has been family owned for years. The grandchildren in their early childhood called this favorite spot the sleenhuisje, hence the name. Because the large garden of approximately 1,000 m2 and the surrounding meadows, together about one and a half hectares, with horse stables require quite a bit of maintenance, we rent it out regularly. The nature house is comfortably furnished with all the trimmings. Several regular guests return every year. This is mainly due to the very quiet location on a flank of the Gulp valley, the Schilberg, with panoramic views and yet only 5 minutes walk from the village of Slenaken with stores and restaurants. The cottage has a 2 bedroom (total 3 persons), in addition, there is a pull-out bed in the living room for 2 persons. The living room and bedroom of the cottage have air conditioning. Recently a new kitchen has been installed.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located on a hill with panoramic views of the village of Slenaken. Slenaken is also called the greenest village of Limburg and is located in the valley of the Gulp. From the approach roads, the hillside forests are clearly visible. It is also called little Switzerland because of its resemblance to this country. Many tourists come in summer and spring, but autumn and winter also make this natural paradise very worthwhile. In addition to the direct nature in Slenaken, at short distances there are beautiful natural areas such as in the Voer region, the High Fens, the Eifel and the Ardennes.
