The nature house is located in Egmond aan den Hoef near the beach on a small recreation park, surrounded by the protected North Holland Dune Reserve. In the middle of the park is a beautiful authentic mill. For daily shopping you will find a supermarket, a bakery, a butcher and a fishmonger within walking distance. The park has a large parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. Egmond has a real family beach with a length of no less than 8 kilometers so you can take long beach walks against the setting sun, while the children search for shells. In the vicinity of the apartment nature offers you a varied landscape. The beautiful lighthouse is already an attraction in itself. Rosette December 20, 2025 General rating:Upon arrival it was very chilly in the cottage, about 12 degrees. It took all evening for the temperature to rise a few degrees. This was not pleasant and at night the temperature automatically switched to 15 degrees. It was also draughty in the living room.There were also some defects, such as broken curtains that did not close and bedside lamps with no light.There was a lack of a drying rack (the washing machine was present, but dirty) and there was no children's mattress at the crib.Other than that, we did have a good family vacation. Although I would not choose this cottage for the colder seasons. It just wasn't cozy enough for us.
Bij aankomst was het erg kil in het huisje, zo'n 12 graden. Het duurde de hele avond om de temperatuur een paar graden te laten stijgen. Dit was niet aangenaam en 's nachts schakelde de temperatuur automatisch naar 15 graden. Ook tochtte het in de woonkamer.
Verder waren er ook wat gebreken, zoals kapotte gordijnen die niet dichtgingen en bedlampjes zonder licht.
Er ontbrak een droogrek (de wasmachine was aanwezig, maar wel vies) en was er geen kindermatrasje bij het babybedje.
Verder hebben we wel een goede vakantie gehad met het gezin. Al zou ik voor de koudere seizoenen niet voor dit huisje kiezen.
