Welcome to our unique lodging spot, “Bed met Paard.” Here, we offer you the opportunity to stay surrounded by nature and close to “De Bergse Heide”—where you can go swimming—and “Fort de Roovere.” Just a 10-minute drive away, you’ll find yourself in the heart of the woods, where there’s also a natural swimming spot. This wooded area features hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. Of course, you’re welcome to bring your horse(s). They can stay overnight in their own stable or paddock and, if possible, out in the pasture. How cool is that?
Nature and surroundings
Bergse Heide is a nature reserve where you can enjoy the beautiful weather. There are plenty of horseback riding trails and hiking routes here. Of course, taking a dip in the beautiful water is also an option! Fort de Roovere near Bergen op Zoom is one of the largest forts along the West Brabant Water Line. It was completely renovated in 2010. The entrance to the fort is on Ligneweg, but hikers can access the eastern rampart via a “trench through the water,” also known as the Moses Bridge.

Beautiful place, peaceful atmosphere in the middle of nature and horses. A very nice and functionally furnished house. Very nice hosts. Definitely recommended.
