The winding road with one of the most beautiful panoramas in the country, brings you to the hamlet of Wolfshuis, on top of the gently sloping Plateau of Margraten. Perfect starting point for cycling and hiking tours. You have a private entrance + garden. The B&B is part of a monumental square farm (early 18th century). There is no longer farming. In summer you can fully enjoy your own terrace in the enclosed garden with lots of privacy ... in winter the living room is spacious enough for days of lazing, reading or wonderful undisturbed work. Bus to Maastricht or Valkenburg stops every hour in front of the door! DISCOUNT: from 7 nights 5%. NOTE: B&B so there is no cooking facilities.
Nature and surroundings
The Limburg hills, the ideal cycling and hiking environment! The hill country is actually a valley country. The gently rolling plateau with its beautiful high skies forms the original level of the region. The rivers Maas and Geul and tributaries such as the Gulp and the Jeker were carved into it, creating the 'hills'. Just like the numerous dry valleys that drain rainwater to the river. On top of the plateau are fields, meadows and orchards, on the slopes - where no agriculture was possible - you'll find shady forests everywhere. Right from our B&B you walk or bike straight into nature. The flora and fauna are special, because of the climate in South Limburg, but also because of the calcareous subsoil. The limestone (Mergel), was often used as building stone, also in our monumental early 18th-century square farmhouse. It is surrounded by meadows and fields. Also in your own garden you can enjoy nature through the flowers, plants and birds.
