Just outside Maastricht lies the village of Bemelen with its distinctive chalk cliffs. The winding road—which offers one of the most beautiful panoramic views in the country—takes you to the hamlet of Wolfshuis, perched atop the gently rolling Margraten Plateau. A perfect starting point for biking and hiking trips. You’ll have your own entrance and garden. The B&B is part of a historic square-shaped farmhouse (early 18th century). The farm is no longer in operation. In the summer, you can fully enjoy your own terrace in the enclosed garden with plenty of privacy… in the winter, the living room is spacious enough to spend days lounging, reading, or working in peace. A bus to Maastricht or Valkenburg stops right outside every hour! DISCOUNT: 5% for stays of 7 nights or more. PLEASE NOTE: This is a B&B, so there are no cooking facilities.
Nature and surroundings
The Limburg hills—the ideal setting for biking and hiking! This hilly landscape is actually a region of valleys. The gently rolling plateau, with its magnificent, wide-open skies, forms the region’s original terrain. The rivers Maas and Geul, along with their tributaries such as the Gulp and the Jeker, have carved their way through this landscape, creating the “hills.” The same is true of the numerous dry valleys that carry rainwater to the river. On top of the plateau are fields, meadows, and orchards; on the slopes—where farming wasn’t possible—you’ll find shady forests everywhere. You can walk or bike right into nature from our B&B. The flora and fauna are unique, thanks to the climate in South Limburg, but also because of the limestone-rich soil. Limestone (marl) was often used as a building material, including in our historic early 18th-century square farmhouse. It’s situated right in the middle of the meadows and fields. You can also enjoy nature right in your own garden, with its flowers, plants, and birds.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
