"The MIVA room is absolutely super, the breakfast delicious, especially the homemade meat salad," guests have written in the guestbook of this B&B, located on a cozy, active cattle farm. The commitment with which owners Cees and Lies talk about their sustainable farm is also contagious. "We immediately felt at ease," said one couple who found the adaptations in the room "top notch" and recommend it to anyone with a mobility disability. It is precisely the farmhouse hospitality that made Cees and Lies' future a lot brighter in 2018. In fact, they chose not to scale up, but to expand the farm with a bed & breakfast. Now they receive groups of festival-goers as well as couples in love and cycling tourists and people with mobility limitations. At B&B In de wei you enjoy nature and surroundings, and in between you also learn where the meat on your plate comes from: from the surrounding meadows!
Nature and surroundings
In the meadow, that is the name of the B&B and not without reason; because from whichever window you look out, there you see meadows. In those meadows you will regularly see cows and calves grazing and with a little luck you will see a deer, hare, pheasant, a couple of partridges or a lapwing. What you are sure to see is farmer Cees on his tractor, as the B&B is located on an active cattle farm. In the vicinity are nice options for the short distance walker, for example a block around the pastures of the farm or in the nearby forest 'Het Hurkske' where also wheelchair accessible trails can be found. Also for the lover of cycling tours, our B&B, located on the cycle junction network, is a good starting point. Pick up your heart and choose routes through natural beauty or through picturesque paths towards various beautiful towns or castles in the area. Bike rental is provided in cooperation with the local bike store.
