This nature house is the perfect retreat for groups of up to 30 people, located next to the “Gerhagen” nature and recreation area and De Merode Landscape Park. An immediate connection with nature, with plenty of opportunities for relaxation right in the surrounding area. ‘t Heuvelken is part of Flanders’ first quiet zone. The property and building are not suitable for parties or drinking gatherings but are perfect for experiencing nature and finding meaning.
Nature and surroundings
The De Merode Project came about when Prince de Merode sold 1,500 hectares of his forests and nature reserves, which then became public property. Such a large, contiguous stretch of nature is unique in Flanders. Here, you can hike through forests, fields, heathland, and marshes. Every part of this natural area offers a different experience. And species that are struggling to survive still find a safe haven here.
