Nature and surroundings
The de Merode project came about when Prince de Merode sold 1,500 hectares of his forest and nature areas and this became public property. Such a large contiguous piece of nature is unique in Flanders. You walk here through forests, fields, heaths and fens. Each piece of nature offers you a different experience. And species that are having a hard time find a safe haven here.
