A unique vacation home in this former round fattening silo, attractively and completely furnished for 2 people. With a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Upon arrival, the delicious box spring is made up and the hand and kitchen towels are ready. Gaze from the accompanying private garden and terrace over the endless Drenthe meadows or start your walking or cycling tour from this vacation address and you are in no time in cozy villages or in the vast nature reserves the Dwingelderveld or the Drents-Friese Wold. The silo stands behind our thatched farmhouse from 1910 which borders the longest orchard in Europe, the 7 km long Dokter Larijweg known for its old pear trees. The apartments can be booked separately, see for East ID62324, or as a whole for 4 persons ID68999, for a stay with friends or older children for example. Nature and surroundings
Our yard is located on a 7 kilometer long old farmland road. This is the longest orchard in the world, there are about 1300 stewing pear trees on it. Amidst 3 National Parks: Dwingelderveld, Weerribben Wieden and Drents Friese Wold for endless walks or bike rides. Visit the dolmens, Museum Farm De Karstenhoeve, the cozy villages Ruinen, Dwingeloo and Havelte with restaurants. The historic town of Meppel with nice stores and restaurants and of course Giethoorn, the Venice of the North. the national parks, including sheep herds and visitor centers. Inspiring visitor gardens, River Valley the Reest, the natural border with Overijssel, Staphorst, Sea Museum Miramar. The Drents Museum in Assen, Wildlands zoo, Emmen. Large cities Zwolle, Leeuwarden and Groningen and smaller towns Steenwijk and Hoogeveen for shopping and museums. Discover the Hunebed Highway on the Drentse Hondsrug and Museum Village Orvelte.
