Nature house in Roermond

Our nature house is part of a beautiful farm dating from 1938. The farm is home to the sheep herds of Landschapsbeheer De Wassum that graze in National Park De Meinweg, the Beegder Heide and the Swalm Valley. From late January to mid-April, many hundreds of lambs are born. Come and enjoy them. A tour of our farm or a visit to the shepherd are possible at no extra cost! The farmhouse has been completely renovated and furnished as a modern and complete vacation home for 12 people. On the ground floor is an additional sofa bed in the living room (see photos) and sanitary facilities for those who are less mobile. This nature house is a wonderful base for trips to Roermond, Maastricht or across the border to Düsseldorf. For real shopping enthusiasts, the Designer Outlet in Roermond is nearby. Nearby is a beautiful swimming pool.On the farm is a wool atelier where beautiful clothes are made from the wool of our own sheep.

This nature house is located in the countryside east of Roermond on the edge of National Park De Meinweg. Sometimes the sheep of the Wassum are grazing opposite the house and if you're lucky you'll see deer early in the morning in the meadow right next to the house! And then there is the beaver building dams, we have special bird species in abundance and even the wild boars visit regularly! Just take a walk around our estate with 50 acres of nature surrounding the house. The farmhouse is located in the Meinweg region and the National Park de Meinweg is therefore easily accessible by bicycle, walking or by car. There you will find the shepherds of the Wassum with their flocks of sheep. Nearby is the particularly beautiful area the Swalm Valley and this area extends over both the Netherlands and Germany. On the farm is a small riding school where you can ride horses under supervision. Bringing your own horse is also possible.
