Lovingly renovated farmhouse with every comfort in a secluded location by the river. Every detail and piece of furniture has been carefully selected. Antique, high-quality softwood furniture gives the ambience its special charm. Three wood-burning stoves, including a programmable pellet stove, provide cozy warmth, and there is underfloor heating in the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a 90 cm Smeg gas stove with electric oven and a Rancillio portafilter coffee machine. Our lovingly restored 250-year-old country house, the STEYR RIVER LODGE, is situated in a secluded location in the Stodertal valley. You can reach your temporary home via your own driveway, which can be used all year round. Our philosophy is to create an oasis of peace and relaxation for you in a breathtaking location in the heart of nature. Here you can clear your head from everyday life.
Nature and surroundings
We pay attention to sustainability: our own well supplies you with wonderful spring water, the firewood comes from our own forest. Take advantage of the wonderful garden by the river with barbecue area and 16-inch smoker. Garden furniture is available. Hidden on the banks of the Steyr you will find a "sundowner" platform belonging to the house, also for intensive nature observation: Trout, otters, kingfishers, herons - the wildlife on the wild and romantic Steyr is diverse and intact. The only point of criticism: contacting the landlord was very difficult. On the order confirmation sent by Nature house, there was only a landline number on which no one could be reached. By chance, we found the River Lodge website on the Internet. There we found all the necessary information and the telephone number of the janitor on site. Open questions (bed linen, towels, key handover) could be clarified quickly.
