Nature house in Riethoven

The forest cabin is incredibly cozy and very inviting. We didn’t light a fire, but I can imagine that would be wonderful when it’s a bit colder. Everything we needed was there and in good condition. The outdoor shower, with vines and squirrels all around you, was definitely a highlight! The owner was quick to respond whenever needed and very helpful and friendly. We really appreciated that.

Het boshuis is enorm knus en heel gezellig. Wij hebben geen vuurtje gestookt, maar ik kan me voorstellen dat dat heerlijk is wanneer het iets kouder is. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig en in goede staat. De buitendouche met boomkruipertjes en eekhoorns om je heen was zeker een hoogtepunt! De eigenaar was razendsnel te bereiken wanneer nodig en heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Dat waardeerden we enorm.

The grounds around the forest cabin are lovely. Right in the middle of the woods, full of birds and other little animals. You can enjoy a nice walk in the immediate vicinity.

Het terrein van het boshuisje is heerlijk. Middenin het bos, vol vogels en andere diertjes. Je kan lekker wandelen in de directe omgeving.

A lovely little cottage surrounded by nature. The surrounding area is great. There are several spots to sit, build a fire, or have a barbecue.

Mooi huisje in de natuur. De ruimte er omheen is prima. Meerdere plekken om te zitten en vuurtjes te maken of te BBQ en.

It was a cozy and charming cabin in the woods, surrounded by peaceful nature. The kids had a great time playing outdoors. The only downside was that we had to set up the kids’ sleeping area using the two couches in the living room. We didn’t reconfigure them every day, so you couldn’t use the seating area anymore.
Not suitable for four people. It’s a nice location if you want to get back to nature for a while.

Het was een knus en gezellig boshuisje met voldoende rust in de omgeving. De kinderen hebben lekker in de natuur kunnen spelen. Het enige nadeel was dat de slaapplaats van de kinderen gecreëerd moest worden van de twee banken in de woonkamer. Dit hebben wij niet iedere dag omgebouwd waardoor je het zitgedeelte niet meer kunt gebruiken.
Niet geschikt voor vier personen. Het is een leuke lokatie als je even terug naar de natuur wilt gaan.

Cottage itself is pretty basic. With two adolescents this was just doable but with four adults it would not have suited. Toilet and shower in separate building was doable, but if you do not know each other well you really do not go on the toilet in the cottage without privacy. Contact with landlord was top, so fortunately nice weather and spent a lot of time outside. But it is really an "outdoor cottage" with more than two people.

Huisje zelf is vrij basic. Met twee pubers was dit net te doen maar met vier volwassenen zou het niet gepast hebben. Wc en douche in apart gebouw was te doen, maar als je elkaar niet goed kent ga je echt niet op de wc in het huisje zonder privacy. Contact met verhuurder was top.
Gelukkig dus mooi weer en veel buiten geweest. Maar het is wel echt een “buitenhuisje” met meer dan twee mensen.

The cottage is really nice located on a spacious plot. No road and no train to hear. Unique in the Netherlands. No neighbors present during our stay so lovely outside and quiet.

Het huisje ligt echt fijn op een ruim perceel. Geen weg en geen trein te horen. Uniek in Nederland. Geen buren aanwezig tijdens ons verblijf dus heerlijk buiten en rustig.
