Nature house in Valeflor, Mêda

Staying at this nature house may require a certain amount of boldness. This nature house is not a hotel and therefore the experience will be different, but always exclusive. The loneliness of the stay can only be broken by nature itself. Unexpected visits (unusual insects, reptiles, hares or birds) or a summer thunderstorm can always show up. But nothing that wildflowers, the starry sky and the unique sensation of time stopping does not fade. The nature house is located about two and a half hours from Porto and Salamanca, four hours from Lisbon and four and a half hours from Madrid by car, near the village of Valeflor, Mêda, Portugal. The house is prepared to welcome a maximum of two to three persons (two adults and one child), with a bathroom with shower and integrated kitchenette solution, in a total area of about 25 square meters - the minimum living space with only the absolutely essential for a short stay.

Apart from everything that emotionally binds us to this place, we believe it offers a unique combination of isolation and closeness. If on the one hand the nature house is far enough from the nearest villages to guarantee all privacy and isolation, on the other hand one can easily set out to discover this fantastic, and often overlooked, region of Portugal. Nearby, there are incredible places to visit such as the Douro Demarcated Region (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Douro International Natural Park, the Côa Museum or the historic villages of Marialva and Trancoso. Throughout the year we can follow the changes in the landscape, from the greens of spring to the reds of autumn and browns of winter, in a cycle that is repeated, but that never ceases to amaze.
