Schalkwijk is a tiny village in the middle of the farming landscape, just below Houten. A place with beautiful farms, lots of water, vast fields and polders. Our loft is the place to really get acquainted with this piece of Dutch nature. As far as the eye can see there is space. The meadows with their ditches, the sheep, the farmer on his tractor. These are the typical things you can see and experience here. There are cherry orchards nearby, as well as apple orchards and other fruits. You often see the little roadside stalls to buy some fruit. You look out over the meadows towards the dike, behind which flows De Lek, another beautiful piece of nature, and different every season. In short: really want to experience something different?
