Nature house in Teupitz

Silke’s vacation home really has everything you need (we didn’t even have to bring spices, vinegar, or oil—it was all there)—and even more: games, a record collection along with a record player, books…
We cooked on the gas stove on the terrace or inside on a ceramic cooktop—pots, pans, dishes, silverware, a toaster, sharp knives, everything that makes cooking a pleasure can be found in the small, cleverly designed kitchen.
The bed in the bedroom has a great mattress; there’s another bed in the living room, though we didn’t use it. In the bathroom, a tankless water heater ensures a nice hot shower after swimming or stand-up paddleboarding on the lake.
The whole cottage is cozy, has a personal feel, and is very clean. All the windows have fly screens, which is especially helpful during mosquito season (though a few always manage to get in somehow…).
We really felt right at home there—thank you so much!

Das Ferienhaus von Silke ist wirklich mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht (auch Gewürze, Essig und Öl mussten wir nicht mitbringen, alles da) - und noch mehr: Spiele, eine Plattensammlung nebst Plattenspieler, Bücher…
Gekocht haben wir auf dem Gaskocher auf der Terrasse oder drinnen auf einem Ceranfeld - Töpfe, Pfannen, Geschirr, Besteck, Toaster, scharfe Messer, alles, was das Kochen erfreulich macht, findet sich in der kleinen, schlau eingerichteten Küche.
Das Bett im Schlafzimmer hat eine super Matratze, im Wohnzimmer steht ein weiteres Bett, das wir aber nicht benutzt haben. Im Bad sorgt ein Durchlauferhitzer für eine schöne heiße Dusche nach dem Bad im oder Stand-up-Paddling auf dem See.
Das ganze Häuschen ist gemütlich, strahlt eine persönliche Atmosphäre aus und ist sehr sauber. Alle Fenster haben Fliegengitter, was sicher in der Mückenzeit besonders wertvoll ist (ein paar schaffen es trotzdem immer irgendwie…).
Wir haben uns dort wirklich total wohl gefühlt - vielen Dank!

The little cottage sits on a hillside with a sweeping view across meadows to the edge of the forest. Surrounded by trees, you can sit comfortably on the terrace—which is sheltered on all sides—in almost any weather and watch the cows or listen to the birds (we used an identification app to find out which birds were singing to us).
If it was still a bit chilly in the morning, we’d have coffee in the garden above, where the sun was already shining. All in all, it was a wonderfully relaxing time.
We spent our days going on bike rides in the surrounding area. From Egsdorf, you always have to ride along the road for a bit at first, but the cars drive extremely cautiously almost without exception. When planning your routes, be prepared for unpaved sections (“sandbox”) and historic cobblestone streets. But you’re rewarded with great routes through endless pine and mixed forests and, in some places, well-maintained, quiet bike paths (Hofjagdweg!). From Groß Köris, you can expand your range by taking the train.

Das Häuschen liegt am Hang mit einem weiten Blick über Wiesen bis zum Waldrand. Man sitzt umgeben von Bäumen bei fast jedem Wetter gemütlich auf der nach allen Seiten geschützten Terrasse und schaut den Kühen zu oder horcht auf die Vögel (wir haben eine Bestimmungs-App benutzt, um zu erfahren, wer uns da alles was vorsingt).
Wenn es morgens noch etwas kühl war, gab es den Kaffee im Garten oberhalb, wo schon die Sonne hinschien. Alles in allem eine super-entspannte Zeit.
Unsere Tage haben wir mit Radtouren in die Umgebung verbracht. Von Egsdorf aus muss man immer erstmal ein Stück an der Straße entlang, die Autos fahren aber fast ausschließlich äußerst umsichtig. Bei der Gestaltung der Touren muss man mit unbefestigten Abschnitten („Sandkiste“) und historischem Kopfsteinpflaster rechnen. Man wird aber belohnt mit tollen Strecken durch endlose Kiefern- und Mischwälder und zum Teil toll ausgebauten, ruhigen Radwegen (Hofjagdweg!). Von Groß Köris kann man den Radius per Bahn erhöhen.

Everything you need is provided, including a lovely outdoor patio and plenty of options for shade or sun in the garden. The landlord is very pleasant, friendly, and hospitable.

Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig, fijn buitenterras en altijd schaduw of zon in de tuin. Contact met de verhuurder is heel prettig, vriendelijk en gastvrij

The cottage is in a very peaceful, green setting with the lake and a small beach within walking distance—such a lovely spot!

Het huisje ligt heel rustig in een groene omgeving met het meer en een strandje op loopafstand, superfijn plekje!

We had a very nice time in the cottage in the green sea. The property is lovingly and comfortably furnished in all respects, so you can easily spend whole days in the garden and on the terrace. We spent a lot of time just hanging out there, wandering through the woods, sitting on the terrace and playing some of the games available in the cottage. Overall, we felt very comfortable, so that we emerged from our week in the green sea feeling relaxed, refreshed and grounded.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im Häuschen im grünen Meer. Das Grundstück ist in allen Belangen liebevoll und gemütlich ausgestattet, so dass man im Garten und auf der Terrasse getrost auch ganze Tage zubringen kann. Wir haben dort viel einfach nur abgehangen und sind durch die Wälder gestreift, haben auf der Terrasse gesessen und einige der im Häuschen vorhandenen Spiele gespielt.
Wir haben uns insgesamt pudelwohl gefühlt, so dass wir entspannt, erholt und geerdet aus unserer Woche im grünen Meer wieder auftauchten.

The cottage is beautifully situated on a slope overlooking a large meadow at the edge of the forest with cows. Birds chirp from morning to evening and a little owl calls at night. In the surrounding woods there are a few paths for walking and hiking, we explored the area relatively quickly on foot, and you can certainly see even more if you come by car or cycle. The only drawback were the neighbors, who occasionally operated their motorized devices on the surrounding properties and listened to loud music, which of course is inevitable in a village area - but you should be aware that the cottage is not completely secluded.

Das Häuschen ist traumhaft an einem Hang mit Blick auf eine große Wiese am Waldrand mit Kühen gelegen. Morgens bis abends zwitschern die Vögel und nachts ruft ein Käuzchen. In den umliegenden Wäldern gibt es ein paar Wege zum Spazieren und Wandern, fußläufig hatten wir die Gegend relativ schnell ausgekundschaftet, noch mehr kann man sicherlich sehen, wenn man mit dem Auto kommt oder per Rad unterwegs ist.
Einziges Manko waren die Nachbarn, die auf den umliegenden Grundstücken zeitweise auch ausgedehnt ihre motorisierten Geräte bedient und laut Musik gehört haben, was natürlich in einer dörflichen Gegend nicht ausbleibt - man sollte sich jedoch bewusst sein, dass das Häuschen nicht völlig abgeschieden gelegen ist.
