Welcome to this nature house. The downstairs house faces my studio and overlooks a beautiful valley. It was originally built as a family home for my own vacations and weekends. Meanwhile firmly adapted for a pleasant stay for friends and guests. About 100 meters2 divided into a large living room with kitchen, two bedrooms (with bedding), a large bathroom and an entrance/library with bed. There is central heating throughout. Almost everything you see was made by myself. The view from this nature house is special, you look so into the valley, and if you're lucky the two cows of mine in the early morning are pleasantly staring at you. Of course there is enough space to also sit outside, park cars, entertain yourself in the area and there are numerous facilities within a few minutes by car. And yes, Valkenburg, Maastricht and Heerlen are also around the corner, as are the Geul Valley and Genk. Enjoy everything!
Nature and surroundings
The lower house is located in a large, green yard with fruit trees on a narrow road in a valley against the plateau of Schimmert. Hollow roads, standard fruit trees, home meadows with cattle. Good for cyclists and hikers. Hilly. Beautiful views. Great to actually experience spring, summer, autumn or winter in the middle of nature. The downstairs house is pleasantly cool inside in summer with French doors to a sunny garden with terrace, and in winter the wood stove burns with beautiful colors, skies and beautiful nature outside. We felt very welcome, and everything we needed was provided in the cottage, including a fan for the hot days. We were allowed to pick berries, and there were various herbs and mint in the greenhouse. There were also cherry tomatoes, but they weren’t ripe yet.
