Come and enjoy our nature house, on the edge of National Park Dwingelderveld in Drenthe. On a beautiful location in the historic and bustling village of Ruinen, in the middle of nature you will find our cozy cottage. The nature house is detached and very private surrounded by a unique woodland garden (not fenced). Enjoy the beautiful nature where you have complete privacy on an area of more than 800 m². Its unique location allows you to walk from the house through the forest in a short time to National Park Dwingelderveld, the largest contiguous wet heathland in Western Europe. There are no fewer than two flocks of sheep with shepherds who keep the heath in condition. With numerous hiking and biking opportunities in the area, this nature house is ideal for active peace seekers. The house is also the perfect base for exploring the beautiful region in addition to nature. Boating on the Weerribben, a day in Meppel or Zwolle, visit the Drents Museum or Remembrance Center Camp Westerbork? Tip: outdoor pool in Ruinen! In the immediate vicinity of this nature house are three more beautiful villages: Dwingeloo (most beautiful village green Drenthe), Diever (gateway Drents-Friese Wold) and Havelte (2 dolmens). In all these places and in Ruinen itself are numerous stores and restaurants. The village of Ruinen is located in southwest Drenthe. In nearby Meppel is the nearest NS railway station.
