On a beautiful location in the historic and bustling village of Ruinen, in the middle of nature you will find our cozy cottage. The nature house is detached and very private surrounded by a unique woodland garden (not fenced). Enjoy the beautiful nature where you have complete privacy on an area of more than 800 m². Nice, clean, and fresh—a comfortable and fully equipped house with underfloor heating and a wonderful sauna. However, the sauna was a bit cramped for two people. Well-equipped kitchen with a Nespresso machine, a very nice gas stove, oven, and microwave, as well as a dishwasher. A plus was that there were two bicycles and a washer-dryer. We were still able to sit outside in the sun in October. The only thing missing was a screen or blinds on the sliding glass doors, as the insects were curious. A trampoline in the yard was fun for the kids (and adults who still want to be kids ;-) ). Communication with the manager and owners was easy and smooth.
In short, a wonderful midweek getaway.Fijn, schoon en fris, comfortabel en compleet huis met vloerverwarming en een heerlijke sauna. Deze was echter wel wat krap voor 2 personen. Goed uitgeruste keuken met nespresso apparaat en heel mooi gasstel en oven/ magnetron, vaatwasser. Een plus was dat er 2 fietsen waren en een wasmachine droger. Hebben in oktober nog heerlijk in de zon buiten kunnen zitten. Daar misten we alleen een hor of lamelen bij de schuifpui want de insecten waren nieuwsgierig. Leuk voor de kinderen ( en volwassenen die nog kind willen zijn ;-) ) een trampoline in de tuin. Communicatie met beheerder en eigenaren ging makkelijk en vlot.

Ga zeker even langs De " Luie Tuinman" terras en winkeltje in een theetuin en als je van kringloop winkels houd kwartiertje verderop zit een prachtige zaak in Ruinerwold. Mooie fietstocht door bos en natuur gemaakt en midden in het bos heb je ook nog een leuke lunchroom. Ruinen zelf is om de hoek. Dwingeloo is erg leuk en op fietsafstand. Genoeg te doen en te zien. De schapen en de herder bij het bezoekerscentrum vormen echt een attractie.
