On a beautifully situated mill yard 450 meters into the country, stands this unique mobile home. From the private terrace you can enjoy views all around over water, windmills and vast fields that make 'the field ranger' come into its own. A more beautiful nature spot cannot be imagined! This nature house is inspired by the four seasons. There is a double bed, refrigerator, microwave, hot/cold water, and all necessities. It is well insulated and an electric heater is available. We had an amazing 6 nights in the pipowagen. It’s beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. Karin and Luc were very kind and helpful with everything.
We rented bikes for the whole week from Harry’s Tweewielers in Callantsoog, including delivery and pickup at the pipowagen, for a good price. With the bikes, it was easy to get around and take trips to the beach or nearby towns (for example, to get to the nearest train station and take a train to Alkmaar).
There are two cute cats living on the property who love to interact with people.
On Tuesdays, the miller works at the windmill across from the pipowagen. He’s super friendly and even invited us on a very interesting tour of the mill.
