The cottage had moisture problems; I won’t rent this house.

Response from the landlord:

A leak from the shower pan caused water to seep through the bedroom wall. It’s a nuisance, but these things happen, especially with (many) different tenants. But it’s also understandable that this tenant isn’t thrilled about a wall with a leak. We’ve since replaced the sealant around the shower pan, cleaned up the hole in the wall, and repainted it with special opaque paint.

Reactie vanuit de verhuurder:

Lekkage van de douchebak met een doorslag in de muur van de slaapkamer. Vervelend, maar kan gebeuren, zeker met (veel) verschillende huurders. Maar ook begrijpelijk dat deze huurder niet enthousiast is over een muur met lekkage doorslag. Inmiddels kit-rand van de douchebak vernieuwd en doorslag in de muur schoongemaakt en met speciale dekkende verf opnieuw gewit.

We enjoyed the spacious cottage for two weeks! The cottage is located in a quiet park, and the spacious yard has plenty of shaded spots where you can sit outside all day and let the kids play. There are plenty of birds flying by, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot a little hedgehog! The cottage has everything you need for a longer stay, including a high chair and a crib. Communication with the host was pleasant, and he responded and acted quickly.

We recognize the other reviews regarding the cleanliness and “dated” appearance of the cottage, but they didn’t detract from our wonderful experience!

We hebben twee weken genoten van het ruime huisje! Het huisje ligt op een rustig park en de ruime tuin heeft ook genoeg schaduwplekken om de hele dag buiten te kunnen zitten en de kinderen te laten spelen. Er vliegen genoeg vogels langs en met geluk zie je ook nog een egeltje! Het huisje heeft alles wat je nodig hebt voor een langer verblijf, zelfs een kinderstoel en kinderbedje. Het contact met de verhuurder was prettig en hij reageerde/handelde snel.

De andere reviews over de hygiëne en 'gedateerdheid' van het huisje herkennen we, maar hebben niet afgedaan aan onze fijne ervaring!

The cottage is surrounded by greenery; the entire park is quite green, and if not, you can just walk or bike out of the park and you’re right in nature. The other residents of the park are considerate people, and when you’re sitting outside, you can’t hear them—or hardly at all. The beach and the shops are nice and close by. It’s truly a place to unwind!

Het huisje is omgeven door groen, het hele park is behoorlijk groen en anders hoef je het park maar af te lopen/fietsen en je bent in de natuur. De andere bewoners van het park zijn attente mensen en als je buiten zit hoor je hen niet/nauwelijks. Het strand en de winkels zijn lekker dichtbij. Echt een plek om tot rust te komen!
