Unwind in our charmingly decorated nature house, right on the shores of Lake Paterswoldsemeer. The house can accommodate four adults. There’s also space for a travel cot for a child up to about 4 years old. The loft has a floor mattress (140 x 200 cm), suitable for one child or teenager. The Op ‘t Veen cottage is our home. My daughter and I live here. While we’re away, we’re happy to share this special place with guests who want to enjoy the peace and quiet, the water, and nature. From the spacious, fenced-in garden, you can look out over the lake, and children can play safely. Relax with a cup of coffee or a good glass of wine in the lounge area, or step onto one of the two canoes from the private dock and explore Lake Paterswoldse from the water.
Nature and surroundings
Huisje Op ’t Veen is situated in a unique location between the bustling city of Groningen and the Drentsche Aa National Park. Whether you want to hike, bike, or enjoy the water, the surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities. The De Onlanden and Friesche Veen nature reserves are just a five-minute bike ride away. Bikes are available for rent about a ten-minute walk from the cottage. You can reach the charming village center of Haren in fifteen minutes by bike and the center of Groningen in about twenty minutes. There’s also plenty of culinary choice, with various restaurants and outdoor seating areas around the Paterswoldsemeer. Within walking distance is the Hoornse Plas, a popular recreational lake for people of all ages.

Wat een fijn huisje! Compact, wat aandachtspunten qua afwerking/update, maar van alle denkbare gemakken voorzien en heel fijn direct aan het water gelegen. Mooie uitvalsbasis voor uiteenlopende tripjes en activiteiten. Vriendelijke verhuurster die snel bereikbaar is bij vragen of problemen.
Heerlijk rustige plek, het water voor de deur zorgt voor instant vakantiegevoel en ontspanning.

Compleet qua voorzieningen en zeer geschikt voor een gezin met kinderen.
We hebben heerlijk genoten van het fietsen in de omgeving en het kanoën op het Paterswoldsemeer.

Perfect huisje om alles te vergeten. Voor 4 personen perfect, dan hoeft niemand boven te slapen, want daar is het erg gehorig. Alles is aanwezig en de kano's zijn echt een meerwaarde voor het huisje. We hebben ze veel gebruikt.
Heerlijk de rust van het water voor het huisje!
