At the very edge of the "Boerskotten" nature reserve, we’ve created a nature house: an old construction trailer on wheels has been converted into a shepherd’s hut with all the amenities needed for a stay, including a kitchenette, a small gas stove, microwave/oven, refrigerator, wood-burning stove, and a bathroom with a toilet, shower, and sink. Electric heating is available for an additional fee. Tucked away behind a shed and a wood storage shed, you’ll have complete privacy in a wooded area of over 1,000 m², located about 75 meters from our B&B. During your stay, you may use all B&B facilities for an additional fee, such as breakfast, dinner, the sauna, bed and bath linens, etc. The sofa can be converted into a double bed measuring 200x160 cm. It’s also possible to set up an additional two-person tent (available on-site). The shepherd’s hut features a spacious porch with garden chairs and sweeping views of the countryside, where you may spot deer, hares, pheasants, and other wildlife.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is surrounded by five nature reserves within a 1,500-meter walking distance: the Boerskotten, Het Haagse Bos, Egeria, Het Smuddebos, and the Duivelshof. The cottage is basic and that in itself is fine. Unfortunately it was not really clean.The owner is a caregiver and just has too little time for this I think.
