This nature house is an old farm barn that has been completely modernized. Because of the thick insulation walls, the climate inside is wonderful: in winter the heat remains well and in the middle of summer it is pleasantly cool. The view from the house is stunning. In the middle of the busy Randstad you look out over the meadows and hear nothing but countless birds. It is an ideal place to unwind. There is a generous living area with wood stove, during the weeks this space is used as an elementary school, this can be seen by the children's tables and children's drawings. There is a bright kitchen with four burner stove and oven refrigerator, coffee maker and Quooker. Upstairs is a romantic sleeping loft with very luxurious mattress, a workstation overlooking the fields, there is also a shower. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located on the outskirts of Maasland in the Hoenderpark. The Hoenderpark is a tuft of five houses in the middle of the meadows. It is the very last one on a dead end road. So no traffic. Owners André and Laura manage a piece of meadow where from early spring to late autumn a beautiful sea of flowers blooms. The nature house overlooks the meadow. With meandering winding ditches, sea of poppies, sunflower hedge, berry cage, willow avenue, vegetable garden and greenhouse, there is always something to see. Coots, moorhens, goldfinches, titmice, sparrows, even a snipe pair and right by the cottage a Long-eared Owl as a regular guest make this place a paradise. If you are in need of more life, Rotterdam, Delft, The Hague and Maassluis are just a stone's throw away. In Midden-Delfland itself you can enjoy beautiful cycling and walking. The cottage is located on an official walking route.
