This comfortable Nature House in Een in North Drenthe is located directly on a pond, completely remodeled in 2019, and since June 2022 has a covered terrace. A large living room/kitchen, a romantic bedroom, both overlooking the water, a spacious, luxurious bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped. Cooking on ceramic plates. There is softened water, underfloor heating and central heating. Good insulation keeps it cool in summer and there is recently air conditioning / heat pump for quick heat or coolness. The cottage is intended for 2 people, with a good sofa for a possible third person in the living room. A private parking 20 meters from the cottage on this former estate. The terrace and around the house is private. The cottage is partly furnished for personal use. Of course we would like to keep it as nice as possible, hence it is not considered suitable for children between 2 and 12, and pets. There is TV digitenne. Please bring your own linen and bedding, you will receive all info on this by email.
Nature and surroundings
This cottage on the fen is quietly located in Een, between Roden and Norg, near primeval forests, dolmens and raised bogs. It is a beautiful base for walkers and cyclists and a feast for bird lovers; you look from the bedroom/room on the fen. The terrace faces south, so you have sun almost all day between the trees. There is a fire basket in the garden. There are geese, kingfishers, grebes, woodpeckers, many species of ducks and songbirds, often an owl and squirrels. For everyone's privacy, water recreation on and in the water is not allowed, except skating. The Ronostrand is 3 km away for natural swimming water. Authentic nature is preserved as much as possible at Duurentijd. Cities such as Assen, Groningen and Drachten are +/- 20 km away. There is a basket with info on recreational opportunities in Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe. Roden offers everything in terms of stores and Norg offers good restaurants and is very picturesque. Both at 7 km and the flea market in bakkeveen at 15 km.
