Now is the time of the ROSES! Relax in this cottage (80m2) on the Meuse River with a view of dike and mill. The cottage is located in a beautiful garden where you can spot many bird species. The garden is completely fenced. If you book with a dog then this is fine for you and for the dog, which can run around to your heart's content together with our 2 cocker spaniel (females). You can cook in the kitchen or eat out in the many restaurants nearby. In winter you can sit comfortably in the kitchen by the wood stove. The area is perfect for cycling and hiking. The work on the dike is finished.

Nature and surroundings

What surprises us again and again is how quiet it is here. The work on the dike is finished, but the dike along our garden remains accessible only to local residents for the time being, so the silence is so intense here now, really special! Dieden is a ribbon village along the Maas dike on the river Maas. It lies roughly between Den Bosch (37 km) and Nijmegen (24 km) at 5 KM from the A50. The Keent, De Maashorst and the Herperduin are nearby. The meandering dike, surrounded by trees, is becoming more and more popular with hikers and cyclists. You can hear birds, the wind, a braying donkey in the distance or the heaving engine of a passing ship. Our enclosed garden is an oasis of tranquility with plenty of flowers in every season. In spring, life bursts forth in the form of spring bulbs followed by the beautiful season of blossoms. Well into the fall, many dahlias bloom. Should you ask nicely, you may pick a bouquet during your stay.

Unique, beautiful, pristine, special. Fantastically beautiful, authentic villages and towns in the area. Take the ferry to Appeltern to see the gardens. Historic castles nearby. Historic farmhouses within biking distance. The Netherlands at its best.

Peace and space in a unique setting.
A garden filled with flowers, fruit trees, pick-your-own fruit, beautiful views, and various seating areas. Such silence! Amazing. And then there’s the location itself, right beneath a windmill. Where else can you find that these days?

Very friendly and hospitable hosts. You feel right at home immediately.

The house has a unique interior, but there are plenty of comfortable places to sit both downstairs and upstairs.

At first, I was a little worried about the stairs. It turned out to be unnecessary, though, because the stairs are easy for a dog to navigate.

The house is fully equipped. There’s plenty of space both inside and out. The place is clean and looks really nice!

In short, it’s a very cozy place to stay with plenty of space to unwind, relax, and enjoy nature!

We thoroughly enjoyed our wonderful stay surrounded by nature. It’s a lovely, peaceful setting that’s perfect for a nice walk or bike ride. The nearby villages have restaurants where you can relax and enjoy a delicious meal.

Our dog had a great time, and she loved the large garden.

The place is fully equipped with all the amenities and comes highly recommended!

Fine cottage fully equipped, friendly owners. Lovely enclosed large garden, we had a puppy of 9 months with us who has enjoyed it, we too! We had great weather and there were several places to sit in the garden in the sun. The cottage has upstairs sofa and TV, we are because of the pup downstairs in the kitchen remained, here are also two lovely chairs to sit. The wood stove was here, the evenings were still cold but with the wood stove on so nice and warm in the house.
