Nature and surroundings

Texel is a vacation island with varied nature. On the west side of the island you will find farmlands, forest, heaths and dunes. It is quiet and rural on the edge of the forest area near the bustling seaside resort of De Koog. Only a row of dunes separates the village from the beach and the sea. In the cozy village center - 1 kilometer from the accommodation - you will find stores, restaurants, supermarkets and bicycle rentals. Due to the convenient location of this accommodation, you can cycle within 5 minutes to the extensive North Sea beach with beach pavilions. Should you find the sea water too cold to swim in, the subtropical swimming paradise Calluna is a good alternative. The beautiful nature reserve De Nederlanden and the Muy is in the immediate vicinity.
