Our comfortable nature house has a cozy living room with gas fireplace to stare into the flames and CV. The dining table with four chairs can be extended to 6 places, there is a 3-seater sofa and 2 easy chairs. The bedroom has a double bed (140-200.) Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and a room with 2x1-person beds. Please note that the stairs are a bit steep. In total there is sleeping accommodation for 6 people. The bathroom has a retro look with a nice shower and toilet. For self-catering there is a 4-burner electric stove, a microwave oven and spacious refrigerator. In front of the cottage we have a spacious garden with porch and a small wood stove, a barbecue, patio chairs and dining table and you overlook a boathouse which is shared with the neighbors. The cottage is in the lee of the hustle and bustle of the village on a path with Gieterse houses. You can park your car 3 minutes away on foot and there is a cart to carry your luggage. It is nice all year round.
Nature and surroundings
" Waking up in the morning, cup of coffee in hand, when then the first rays of the sun try to reach the land, cackling geese fly by and clattering storks tend their nest together, the true enjoyment begins. Along the path in the private garden is rustically hidden behind tall greenery this delightful thatched cottage with boathouse. Located directly on a dead-end canal to open waterways. And the car at 200 meters walking distance. From its own plot you can take a boat out to a beautiful nature reserve with extensive fishing and boating waters (directly near `het Wiede´). Besides walking and cycling and the cozy terraces in the beautiful village of Giethoorn it is also nice to visit eg Blokzijl or Vollenhove. Steenwijk is about 5 km away and has a nice shopping street. Meppel has a very nice historic (shopping) center with several squares and terraces, but also Dwarsgracht, Muggenbeet, Sint Jansklooster, Oldemarkt and Zwolle are recommended.
