Nature and surroundings

The vacation farm is located near the Almelo-Nordhorn Canal. This waterway offers wonderful opportunities for biking and hiking. The Springdal, known for its springs, streams, hills, and burial mounds, is 8 km away. Lutterzand, 10 km away, is characterized by the winding river valley of the Dinkel. There’s plenty of history to discover here, such as Stift, Singraven, and Twickel. And the art town of Ootmarsum, just 6 km away, is definitely worth a visit. There’s also plenty to do here, such as fishing at Wild, rock climbing at AvarTaz, canoeing on the Dinkel, cycling, and hiking. In short, a visit to Twente with a stay at our vacation farm, “Aan de Boswal,” is more than worth it!

A warm welcome from the hostess. A spacious house with a large kitchen-dining area, a cozy living room, and a spacious, modern bathroom.
The kitchen is equipped with all kinds of handy appliances.
There were three of us adults, and we each got our own bedroom.
Large covered area for storing bicycles, with charging stations.

    Nature, peace & environment: 4 /5

The cottage is comfortable; the immediate surroundings are mostly agricultural.

What a nice place and what a wonderful hostess! We felt very welcome. Plenty to do in the area, even when the weather is less nice.
