Nature house in Zuidlaarderveen

Our farmhouse consists of a front house with its own entrance, which is rented out as a nature house (for €95 per night), and a back house where we live ourselves. The front house is heated with a heat pump and possibly a small Norwegian wood stove. The layout of the nature house is as follows: entrance hall with toilet, kitchen with dining table, living room with box bed, upstairs a bedroom with sink and shower. The kitchen is equipped with microwave/oven combi, refrigerator and dishwasher. The living room has a TV/radio and fiber optic internet connection. Also in the living room is a box bed with doors for two children or one adult. Two bicycles with gears are available. The farm yard is about 1 acre with horse trough and two Icelandic horses. Eggs from our chickens are available for free when in stock. Bed, bath, and kitchen linens are provided. Washing machine and dryer are available for longer stays.

With us you can sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet. The farm is located 600 meters outside the village on a side road in a small nature reserve of the Drents Landscape. From the farm you can walk and cycle, e.g. around the Zuidlaardermeer or into the head of Drente. Also near here is the new nature reserve the Tusschenwater, lying on the Zuidlaardermeer, where you can walk and enjoy the many species of birds. The Zuidlaardermeer offers many recreational opportunities, such as swimming, supping, surfing, canoeing or sailing. By car you can visit Groningen or Assen with many attractions. In Emmen is the Wildlands zoo. Also worth visiting are the Boomkroonpad and the Hunebed museum in Borger. In the front house is a folder with various brochures of Groningen and Drenthe, so you can orient on activities. We can pick you up from and bring you to the bus in Zuidlaren or the train in Kropswolde.
