Nature house in Wittem

It’s not just a little cottage—it’s a full-fledged house, complete with an entire upper floor.
Everything you need is there, right down to the shoe polish.
For us, it feels like coming home.
You can walk the dog right from the house.

We’ll definitely be back next year, and we’d love to come twice in 2027.

Het is geen huisje, maar een geheel huis. Met een complete bovenverdieping.
Alles is aanwezig, tot schoensmeer toe.
Voor ons is als thuis komen.
De hond kan je direct vanuit huis uit laten.

Volgend jaar komen we zeker weer en heel graag twee keer in 2027.

It’s wonderful to be able to stay in the southernmost part of Limburg.
It’s a beautiful area for hiking, biking, or just driving around.
The cottage is in a lovely location. From the room, you can look out over the Geul Valley.
Especially this past week, with stunning views and ever-changing cloud formations.
In short, highly recommended.

Geweldig om in het zuidelijkste deel van Limburg te mogen vertoeven.
Prachtig gebied om te wandelen, te fietsen of gewoon wat rond te rijden.
Het huisje staat op een mooie locatie. Vanuit de kamer kijk je het Geuldal in.
Zeker de afgelopen week met prachtige vergezichten en wisselende wolken formaties.
Kortom een aanrader.

We used the cottage as a base for Pinkpop. The cottage was great, and it had a wonderful garden! The hosts were very welcoming and had left a bottle of delicious apple juice and a bowl of walnuts as a welcome gift. And, not unimportant given the temperature, a pitcher of water in the fridge!! Highly recommended.

Wij hebben het huisje gebruikt als uitvalbasis voor Pinkpop. Huisje was top, een geweldige tuin erbij! Gastvrije verhuurders die als welkom een fles heerlijke appelsap en een schaal walnoten hadden neergezet. En niet geheel onbelangrijk bij deze temperatuur, een kan water in de koelkast!! Echt een aanrader.

Chapeau voor Gerard en Maria! Heel fijn dat wij konden genieten van jullie natuurhuisje!

The nature house appropriately named "The Notedop" because of the walnut trees, but also with the many star apple trees is really a dream house. It is located in the middle of nature. It is a wonderful place to stay, you have everything you need: it is durably decorated and that is sometimes a relief above luxury. Everything is neat and clean. The hospitable owners Gerard and Maria have empathized well to give the tenants the most pleasant stay possible. Well, they succeeded! 'De Notedop' is located directly on trails with many hiking opportunities and (car) trips in the area. Our dog also enjoyed the fine enclosed garden and walks. This place is definitely worth coming back again. There is still plenty to discover!

Het natuurhuisje met de toepasselijke naam "De Notedop" vanwege de walnoot bomen, maar ook met de vele sterappel bomen is werkelijk een droomhuisje. Het ligt midden in de natuur. Je komt er volledig tot rust.
Het is er heerlijk om te verblijven, je hebt er alles wat je nodig hebt: het is duurzaam ingericht en dat is wel eens een verademing boven luxe uitstraling. Alles is keurig netjes en schoon. De gastvrije eigenaren Gerard en Maria hebben zich goed ingeleefd om de huurders een zo prettig mogelijk verblijf te geven. Nou, dat is dus gelukt!
'De Notedop' ligt direct aan paden met vele wandelmogelijkheden en (auto) uitstapjes in de omgeving.
Ook onze hond heeft genoten van de fijne omheinde tuin en van de wandelingen.
Dit plekje is zeker de moeite waard om nog een keer terug te komen. Er valt nog genoeg om te ontdekken!
