From this nature house you have a beautiful view over the garden and the meadows where you have a great chance to see deer. Many birds and squirrels look for their food in the garden.The living room of this nature house has a flat-screen TV with a digital connection and is equipped with wifi.Also here is the open kitchen with cooking facilities and there is an oven/microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle and Airfryer to bake your own sandwiches, among other things. This 2-person lodge has a separate bedroom and shower/toilet. You have access to a private sun terrace. It is also pleasant to relax in the shade under the walnut tree in front of the cottage. The spacious garden with pond offers several seating areas, a large BBQ and lots of privacy. The cottage Squirrel is located near the cottage the Barn Owl. You can enjoy the peace and quiet and space in and around the yard.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is located in National Park Dwingelderveld, the largest wet heathland in Western Europe and the quietest area in the Netherlands. You will find heathland, forest, shifting sand and over forty fens. Thanks to the diversity in the Dwingelderveld many plants and animals live there. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the special landscape. You can walk, bike, run, horseback ride and watch birds in huts and behind screens. Within walking distance of our cottages is the visitor center of Natuurmonumenten and nearby is the sheepfold of Ruinen. It is the ideal base to explore the area. Beautiful villages such as Dwingeloo and Diever are well worth a visit and a trip to the dolmens should not be missed. The national park of Drenthe has 3 dolmens. The village of Ruinen has several cozy restaurants and a supermarket.
