If you like walking, you can walk straight from the Wachtpost into nature. Within cycling distance lies De Maashorst nature reserve, where you can make both beautiful walks and cycling tours. Stroll together over the Bedafse Bergen, a special piece of primal area with shifting dunes. Or walk through nature reserve Molenheide, a former production forest with heathland, two beautiful pools, Highland cattle and many songbirds and birds of prey.Furthermore, the estate of Tongelaar castle is a must, where you can get (free) walking and cycling maps in the field store. The Wachtpost is near a bicycle junction, from where you can plan beautiful rides. A map with all the junctions in the area is waiting for you.
