Zuidwolde has a natural environment with forests and heathlands. To the north lies the National Park Dwingeloo and at some walking distance you can visit the Meeuwenplas. Our only downside was the box spring. Bed was clean and otherwise lay fine, but we still sometimes ended up between the mattresses as restless sleepers.
